Alexandre Lacazette has re-signed for Lyon, five years after joining Arsenal for £46.5m.
Lacazette signed a three-year agreement until June 2025.
The Frenchman scored 54 goals in 158 Premier League games for Arsenal and helped them win the 2020 FA Cup.
Lacazette says he “never lost touch” with Lyon in April.
When Lyon announced Lacazette’s return to the club he joined when he was 12, they said they were “extremely proud and very excited.”

After breaking into Lyon’s first squad in 2009-10, Lacazette scored 129 goals in 275 outings.
Arsene Wenger signed him in 2017, surpassing Arsenal’s payment to Real Madrid for Mesut Ozil in 2013.
Mikel Arteta said in April that dragging out contract talks with Lacazette was a risky move by Arsenal.
“We agreed with him. “Our viewpoint hasn’t changed; that’s what we’ll do,” Arteta said.
“We knew the danger when we made the choice; now it’s up to him.”
Lacazette led Arsenal after Arteta removed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in December for a disciplinary transgression.
After placing fifth in the Premier League, Arsenal will participate in the Europa League group stage in 2022–23.
