At the LSU Invitational, Erriyon Knighton ran 19.49 seconds to become the fourth-fastest man in the 200m.
In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the 18-year-old American smashed his under-20 world record by 0.35 seconds.
Only Usain Bolt (19.19), Yohan Blake (19.26), etc and American Michael Johnson (19.32) will have ever run faster.
Knighton’s time is the eighth-fastest in the world in the 200m, and the fastest at all since Bolt won the 2012 Olympic final.
Bolt has set the world record in 19.5 seconds four times, the first time at the age of 21, while Blake already has done it twice etc and Johnson once in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Superb blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m
a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with
a free platform like WordPress or go for a
paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..
Any ideas? Thanks!
