According to local reports, more than 20 people were found dead and 16 more wounded at a local maternity hospital in December.
A Sikh temple in Kabul, Afghanistan, was attacked, putting the lives of many of its faithful in jeopardy.
The explosion happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, and it’s not apparent whether anybody was hurt.
According to Gorman Singh, a local official on the site, the temple was packed with up to 30 worshippers at the time of the incident.
“We don’t know how many of them are still alive or how many are already dead,” he said.”
The Taliban also are not allowing us to get inside; we don’t know what to do,” Mr. Singh continued.
A local TV station also called Tolo showed pictures of thick, dark smoke coming from the area.
It is the only Sikh temple left in the capital. Recently, community leaders said that.
There are only 140 Sikhs left in Afghanistan, down from 100,000 in the 1970s.
