Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service for states in the Midwest, including Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska.
The mayor of Wichita reported that 50 to 100 buildings had been destroyed, mostly in the Andover area.
However, no significant injuries have been reported as of yet.
Despite the scale of the destruction to houses and automobiles, local authorities maintained there had been no fatalities during a news briefing Saturday morning.
