Coach Taylor Jenkins of the Grizzlies said, “This clearly hurts.”
In spite of this tragedy, I just want them to treasure and remember this great season with this particular group.
As the reigning NBA champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, took a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with 44 points and 20 rebounds, the first time that has happened since Shaquille O’Neal had 40 points and 20 rebounds in 2001.
Jayson Tatum of the Celtics outscored Antetokounmpo (46 points) to keep the visitors alive in their semi-finals.
“Our season was at stake. That was obvious to me and to us both. Because we had nothing to lose, we had no choice but to give it our best “Tatum made the comment.
